Intact Solutions Partners with UW-Madison and GE Aerospace on $9.1M ONR- funded Project to Enhance Additive Manufacturing Technology for Mission-Critical Components

Madison, Wisconsin, August 6, 2024 – We’re excited to announce our participation in a $9.1 million project funded by the U.S. Office of Naval Research in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Madison and GE Aerospace Research. This initiative aims to enhance the use of additive manufacturing for mission-critical components.

Intact’s team will leverage its advanced simulation technology to develop next generation of tools for prediction, qualification, and quality improvement of additively manufactured components.

Our approach to solving simulation-based challenges is differentiated from other approaches by its built-in ability to work with heterogeneous geometry and material models and representations of extreme complexity without preprocessing or meshing. The plug-and-play simulation platform also supports hybrid models where analytic, computational, and experimental
data is seamlessly fused into a common computational framework, allowing unprecedented power and flexibility in modeling, simulation, and optimization of additively manufactured components.

Stay tuned for updates as we work together to improve additively manufactured part performance and qualification with a streamlined approach to drive adoption!
