Intact Solutions, a provider of advanced engineering simulation software, today announced availability of Intact.Simulation™ Version 1.0, the initial release of Intact’s “plug & play” computer aided engineering simulation software toolkit.
Intact.Simulation provides engineering software vendors with a flexible environment for building advanced engineering applications and adding simulation capabilities to existing engineering applications. The toolkit is based on Intact’s proven underlying simulation technology that also provides the underpinnings for Intact’s other end-user products, Rhino-based Scan&Solve™, OnShape-based Intact.Design™ and soon to be announced Intact.Additive™ for 3D printed part analysis.
Intact.Simulation utilizes Intact’s patented moments-based meshfree technology, meaning users and developers do not need to create or maintain a finite element mesh as is required by other analysis technologies. “This eliminates modeling errors caused by poor meshes, missing elements and misaligned edges and virtually eliminates the time and effort required to prepare a geometric model for simulation and analysis”, says Dr. Vadim Shapiro, Intact’s Chief Technology Officer. “Intact.Simulation can be also deployed with existing/legacy simulation solutions to reduce or eliminate geometry and material pre-processing bottlenecks and to dramatically reduce simulation costs and lead times.”
“We chose Intact.Simulation technology because of its unique ability to provide fully automated simulation analysis on complex geometric representations in our Live Parts™ real time generative design application”, says Desktop Metal’s Vice President of Software Andy Roberts.
Intact.Simulation is built on a plug & play architecture allowing developers to use any geometry (tessellated, B-rep, CSG, sweeps, voxels, industry standard representations, procedural, g-code and user-defined geometry), any materials definition (basic materials, materials databases, heterogeneous fields, composites, and user-defined materials), and any physics analysis (linear stress, modal, thermal, electrostatic, existing physics codes, and user-defined physics) interchangeably or simultaneously in one integrated environment.
Intact.Simulation is available immediately for trial and use in commercial applications.
