A topology optimization solver modifies a geometry, within a given design space, to meet performance criteria.

A topology optimization solver has 7 inputs:

  • a design space geometry
  • the results of a stress simulation on an original design geometry
  • maximum number of design iterations
  • volume fraction constraint
  • level set cell size
  • move limit
  • smoothing period
