A modal solver determines the effects of vibration on a geometry, and determines the frequencies at which the component will naturally resonate.

A modal solver has the following inputs:

• a solver settings block
• the components to perform the simulation on (from a component block)
• restraints (from a restraint block). If no restraint is specified, the solver will compute modes and frequencies for Free-Free vibration.
