Sliding Boundary Condition

The Sliding Boundary Condition block in Intact.Simulation for Grasshopper can allow sliding on an arbitrary surface, by fixing the displacement normal to the surface to zero. It can be used, for example, to model pin joints which allow rotation around a cylindrical surface.

Usage

A Sliding Boundary Condition block has one input:

  • the geometry of the surface along which to allow sliding (must be specified)

The output should be given to the Load input on a Stress Solver block.
