Technical Staff - Computational Engineer

Full Time, Remote (US)
We’re developing next-generation simulation software to transform engineering workflows. You’ll help develop the core algorithms and numerical methods that power our platform.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop scalable numerical algorithms for finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics
  • Translate research into production-ready features for a commercial product
  • Research and prototype cutting-edge methods from academic literature
  • Debug complex numerical and geometric edge cases in real customer models
  • Explore opportunities to integrate machine learning with physics-based simulation for speed and automation
  • Collaborate with product managers and application engineers to ship useful, usable features

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience developing numerical algorithms in C++ (finite element, finite volume, or similar)
  • Experience with computational geometry and meshing algorithms
  • Published research in computational mechanics, applied math, or related fields
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in mathematics, computer science, or engineering preferred
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques applied to engineering or simulation workflows
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • A product mindset: thoughtful about performance, edge cases, and user experience

Bonus Points For

  • Experience scaling algorithms for large simulations
  • Background in GPU computing or parallel algorithms
  • Familiarity with geometry kernels, CAD, or preprocessing pipelines
  • Prior work at a simulation software company

Why Join Us

  • Competitive pay and equity sharing program
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Paid vacation, sick time, and company-paid holidays
  • Remote-friendly setup
  • Direct impact: your work will shape a real product used by real engineers
